Cultured opals are man-made opals that have the same chemical composition, internal structure, physical properties, and appearance as natural opals.  New breakthroughs result in stunningly realistic opals that are in nearly every way identical to natural opals. 

This is the first time we have stocked cultured opals, as we only deal in A grade gemstones, Jade, and pearls, but we were blow away by these pieces. The refraction and depth of these gems are breath taking.  We have seen lesser quality natural opals, they are that good.  These will become a one of our regularly stocked items.
